LG TVs do not have the Google Play store. Instead, LG TVs have their own LG Content Store for downloading streaming apps, games, and more.
Where Can I Find the LG Content Store on my LG TV?
Though the Google Play Store is not available on LG TVs, you can still download your favorite streaming apps. After connecting your device to WiFi, you can access the LG Content Store if you:
- Press the HOME button on your LG remote.
- Scroll to the side to the LG Content Store icon (which is red with a “play” symbol).
Once you’re in, you’ll be able to download hundreds of apps.

But voice assistants aren’t always an option. If you need to open the Play Store manually:

- Select Show System Apps
By downloading an app from the Google Play Store this way, the app is attached to your Chromecast, not your LG TV. To use the app you want to download, you will have to use your Chromecast every time.
