What is the difference between drive up and order pickup at Target? ›

Order Pickup orders can be placed in the Target app or on Target.com. Locate item(s) you're looking for. Eligible items will show Pick it up. Select Drive Up to have your item(s) brought out to your car or Order Pickup to pick item(s) up at the Guest Service counter.

You'll be able to request a refund or replacement for a Drive Up, Order Pickup or Same Day Delivery order the day after the order is picked up or delivered. Replacements ship for free, are subject to availability and will process as an even exchange.

It may be best to simply create a separate order and then pick up both orders at the same time after you receive the notification that they're ready. However, if you no longer need the items, you can attempt to cancel the order or cancel an item and place another order.

Once you arrive at your store's Drive Up parking area, tap “I'm here” in the Target app. A Target team member will meet you at your car to scan your app & process your return & refund.

Why does Target always cancel my order? ›

Once we start processing it, items may be canceled for reasons such as: An item becomes unavailable. The payment method can't be processed. The shipping address can't be verified.

When able, we'll donate or recycle them. If you've sent something to Target and want it back, contact us at 1-800-591-3869. We can't guarantee we'll be able to find and send back your item. We also can't compensate you for unexpected or ineligible items returned to Target.
