Saved Android Viber Message History on computer with Backuptrans Android Viber Transfer and now want to restore these Viber chat messages back to your Android Phone? It is easy. Just connect your Android Phone to computer and then click "Restore" button on Backuptrans Android Viber Transfer software. All Viber chat messages with attachments will be restored and merged perfectly onto your Android Phone. Additionally, you can also choose to restore all Viber chats history or just restore messages with a certain contact.
The following article shows you how to restore Viber Chat Messages to Android from Computer step by step:
Step 0:Before you run the software, please ensure your Android device has USB debugging enabled.
Step 1: Run the software and connect your Phone.
Run Backuptrans Android Viber Transfer and connect your Android Phone to computer with USB cable.
Step 2: If a message pops out on your Android phone’s screen, please click "Back up my data" button without entering password. Then back to the software on computer to click "OK" to continue. (Skip if your Android is rooted)
Note: The software will backup Viber data only from your Android phone.
Step 3: View Android Viber Chat Messages on software.
Now the software will read all current Viber Messages from your Android and show them on its main interface:
Step 4-A: Restore all Viber Chat Messages to Android.
1) Click the backup file in Local Database list.
2) Turn to top toolbar and press "Transfer Messages from Database to Android" button or go File -> Transfer Messages from Database to Android.
Tip: Or you can right click backup file in Local Database list and then choose "Transfer Messages from Database to Android".
Step 4-B: Restore Viber Chat Messages with a single contact.
1) Click your wanted contact name under backup database.
2) Turn to top tool bar and press "Transfer Messages from Database to Android" button or go File -> Transfer Messages from Database to Android.
Tip: Or you can right click the contact name and then choose "Transfer Messages with this Contact to Android".
Step 5: Choose a device you want to restore Messages to.
Select an Android Phone that you want to restore Viber chat messages to and then click "Confirm" to continue.
Note:Before restoring messages to Android, please follow the steps on software to backup your current Android Viber data first.
Restored successfully. All your backed up Viber chat messages on database have been transferred and merged on your Android Phone. Free download the software on your computer to try now.
Tip: If you can't see the chat messages in Viber on your Android after restored, please go "Settings -> Apps -> All -> Viber" and then choose Clear Cache and App Data.
(Don't worry, even though the on-screen warnings make it out that it'll delete your messages, it won't. Open Viber again, wait a few seconds and the chat messages'll all flood in.)
