MULTI-NETWORK DATA (2024)

MULTI-NETWORK DATA (1)

Titanium is a cloud-based wireless/wired communication enterprise management platform. It is a robust and flexible platform designed for commercial, industrial, governmental, and institutional customers. As a cloud-based system, Titanium connects hardware to software to deliver a complete, end-to-end IoT solution for our customers.

INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) INDUSTRY

The IoT industry is going through rapid development with a range of different strengths and capabilities. It is truly an exciting time to take advantage of the benefits of IoT technology. In this fast-changing technological environment, there are a wide variety of IoT platforms where the customer may find they are using different systems for different requirements. Below are some characteristics that may be found in some IoT platforms:

  • Emphasis on wireless connected devices
  • Not designed for collecting and storing large amounts of data
  • Security limitations
  • May require servers and other hardware for networking
  • Platform designed for specific use
  • Build own hardware
  • Offer a cloud platform which requires further development by the customer before using

Titanium is a true cloud based IoT platform which includes both software and hardware and is accessed with a universal user interface. Titanium is designed from the ground up to be powerful, secure, and easy to use:

  • Wireless and / or wired
  • Designed to be a data transport platform
  • Security is always first
  • Uses the power of software instead of hardware
  • Intelligent, cloud-based technology that delivers the right functionality to the customer
  • Agnostic to hardware
  • Delivers a complete platform including hardware and software

ENTERPRISE MANAGEMENT USING MULTI-NETWORK DATA

Titanium is an enterprise management platform that is ideal for multi-location, multi-region customers. Titanium has one universal user interface for all functionality that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet-enabled device. The universal user interface enables monitoring and control from anywhere with access to an internet-enabled device.

Titanium’s remote control and monitoring proved especially helpful for essential businesses during the COVID-19 shutdown.

The universal user interface has a Sensor Data section for each network (e.g., one building or one location or one area) with line charts that show real time data sent by the sensors.

There is another section designed for data from all networks. This is the Multi-Network Sensor Data section that can bring together data from hundreds of locations in one universal user interface.

For all networks for which the user has access, the user has ready access to data from all networks. This capability is revolutionary in the IoT industry. Titanium provides to the user information from all locations at their fingertips.

For example, it can show trends in average temperature by hour for each network. Multi-network data is a powerful tool for conducting diagnostics across all locations to identify operational efficiencies and energy savings opportunities.

MULTI-NETWORK DATA COMBINED WITH ALERTS

Titanium has advanced alerts functionality including sending photographic images. Alerts can be set-up to monitor various environmental conditions. It can send alerts for example if CO2 or temperature exceeds a certain threshold level. It also sends alerts when an environmental condition returns below a threshold. Furthermore, notifications can be expanded to include other people as environmental conditions worsen.

The alerts capability complements the multi-network data and creates a powerful, efficient platform to manage many locations in many regions.

UNIVERSAL USER INTERFACE

MULTI-NETWORK SENSOR DATA

The Titanium user interface is used to monitor, control, and analyze. Titanium’s well thought out design principles delivers a user interface that is consistent in function, terminology, and appearance resulting in a user interface that is intuitive, friendly, and easy to use.

The Titanium menu has four sections. When the user selects one of the four sections, the menu will expand for additional options. After the user logs onto the user interface, they will see the tabs below on the left:

MULTI-NETWORK DATA (3)

When the Status menu is selected, the menu expands to show the following functions including the Multi-Network Sensor Data tab:

Below is an image of the expanded Status section:

SENSOR DATA TAB

The Sensor Data tab has a chart for each type of data (e.g., one chart for temperature and another for humidity). Each chart is a line chart of the data plotted over time. Each line on a chart represents the data as sent by a sensor. This data is real time data and is useful for monitoring purposes. The data can be easily downloaded in a csv file for analytical purposes. Each chart is dynamic, and the time period can be easily changed for different time periods and for which sensors are selected.

MULTI-NETWORK SENSOR DATA TAB

The Multi-Network Sensor Data tab looks similar to the Sensor Data tab. There is a chart for each type of data (e.g., one chart for temperature and another for humidity). Each chart is a line chart of the data plotted over time. Each line on a chart represents one network. Depending on the type of data, the chart shows the sum or average of the data for each network by hour. As an example, temperature data would be shown as an average and motion detection would be shown as a total. The user interface will identify whether the data is an average or a total. The charts are dynamic, and the time period and the networks shown can be easily changed.

LIST OF CHARTS BY DATA TYPE

The multi-network sensor data tab will show a chart for each type of data included in the platform for all networks. The user will see data only for the networks for which the user has access. The tab could include the following charts:

  • Temperature (indoors & outdoors; ambient & contact)
  • Humidity (indoors & outdoors)
  • CO2
  • Water detection
  • Thermostat status
  • Valve position
  • Door/window sensor status
  • Light
  • Motion
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • People counting – forward direction
  • People counting – backward direction
  • …and more

MULTI-NETWORK SENSOR DATA CHART

Below is an example of a multi-network chart. It shows the average temperature by hour for each network.

POP-UP BOX

When the cursor hovers over one of the lines, a pop-up box will show. The image below shows the pop-up box. The data in the Pop-Up box is for one network and it shows the value at that point in time, the minimum, maximum, and average for that network. If the cursor is moved to another point on the line the data will automatically update. If the cursor is moved to another line, it will show the data for a different network. If the time period shown in the line chart is changed, it will automatically recalculate the minimum, maximum, and average.

MULTI-NETWORK DATA (7)

CSV FILE

On the left below the chart is a download link. When selected, the data will be automatically downloaded in a csv file. The data will correspond to the line chart. That is if the line chart shows one week, then the csv file will show the data for that week. If the line chart is expanded to six months and the data is downloaded, then the new csv file will show data for six months.

The left two columns will show the date and time for each row. The column headings will show the network and the type of data in the CSV file (e.g., Temperature in Fahrenheit).

The csv file is useful for analyzing for trends and anomalies. It is the ideal way to review the performance of environmental and operational conditions in many buildings in many locations or regions.
