What is the difference between cancellation and refund policy? ›

You can only perform refunds on transactions for which the funds have already been transferred to your bank account. A cancellation or deletion can be done before a payment has been fully processed, i.e. before the daily cut-off time at the acquirer, at which point all transactions of the previous day are processed.

A Refund Policy is where you state your policy on whether or not you issue refunds, and in what circ*mstances this may be limited. You can let users know how to go about requesting a refund, what steps they must take to get one, what form the refund will be issued in, and how long the entire process will take.

If your storage plan is canceled or expires

Google Drive: You won't be able to sync or upload new files, and syncing between your Google Drive folder and My Drive will stop. You'll still be able to create Google documents since they don't take up any storage space.

If you cancel your storage plan, you'll lose all additional storage for your account. At the end of your billing cycle, you may be over quota. If you're over your storage quota for 2 years, all the content that counts toward your storage quota may be deleted.

You're also exempted from the deletion of your photos and videos if you have an active Google One membership with no outstanding payment or quota issues. If you're inactive in Google Photos for 2 years or more, your content may be deleted from Google Photos.

Refunded is when you bought something and it didn't work or you changed your mind and you get your money back. Canceled (note the spelling… only one l) is when you order something but change your mind and cancel the order. Both cancel and refund can apply to the same transaction.

The two expressions mean exactly what they say. If a reservation is non-refundable, it means you pay for it when you book and you don't get any money back if you cancel the reservation. Free cancellation means that you are not charged anything if you cancel.
