Hi,

You don't say what type of phone you have!

If it has an Android OS, download, install and run Malwarebytes for Mobiles. This app will check your phone for malware.

Here is the link

If you don't have Play Store installed on your phone use the method below to install Malwarebytes

Download the Malwarebytes 2.00.3.9000 apk file from here to your PC. Copy it to your phone. Remember where you copied it to. Find this setting in your phone and enable it

Then use the File Manager app in your phone to find the .apk file you copied, choose install option follow prompts. This will install the app on your phone. When installation complete, go back and disable the Unknown Sources setting that you previously enabled. Then run the app. It will be located with your other apps

Try doing a system reset. Go to settings>backup & reset> factory reset. Then run Malwarebytes.

i had the same problem earlier and found the solution finally. this issue is there in most of the cheep chinese phones and tablets. these phones have pre installed trojan program which cannot be removed from the phone. i tried many applications including trojan remover and so on. No use... but finally i downloaded No root firewall application from google play store(https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...). this application blocks all the events and unwanted programs including download manager which downloads unwanted programs without your concern. now i dont have issue. i allow the download manager whenever i want and other time i block download manager and other trojan suspected programs. this solution might help you.

Thank you so much for sharing about this app here. This is the only app that has blocked virus apps from getting installed by itself. I had used all sorts of antivirus, Malwarebytes, even did a factory reset to get rid of these viruses but they were getting install by itself. NoRoot Firewall is the only app that has resolved this issue. Thank you once again (I specially created this account just to thank you).

I had the same problem of random apps getting installed without my permission on my samsung s7. Tried factory reset, changing google password, mcafee and malawarebytes. None helped. Then i installed noroot firewall app as Mr. Kesavan suggested here - and mercilessly denied all android and samsung apps. Only chrome, clock, outlook, google maps, wordament and a few more safe apps are allowed thru firewall. This solution is working.

Every little app seems to be trying to do connections unnecessarily.

Thank you Kesavan!

Hmm. I'm wondering if you have an apple phone. Is it redownloading apps you've already purchased. Even free apps?

Hi,

Did you see and try the updated answer about how to install and run Malwarebytes when you haven't got Google Play Store?

Here it is:

Hi, Download the Malwarebytes 2.00.3.9000 apk file from http://apk-dl.com/malwarebytes-anti-malw... to your PC. Copy it to your phone. Remember where you copied it to. Find this setting in your phone and enable it

. Then use the File Manager app in your phone to find the .apk file you copied, choose install option follow prompts. This will install the app on your phone. When installation complete, go back and disable the Unknown Sources setting that you previously enabled. Then run the app. It will be located with your other apps

By the way, the reason why some viruses are cannot be uninstalled is because they have placed themselves in the system directory and for you to remove them you either need to remove them with an application which has root access or another way. I have my phone rooted as it was the only way to remove some issues I had back in March/April.

I have a similar problem, using any malware software does not detect any problem, I uninstall the 3 applications on my phone 'go security, ace cleaner and superb cleaner' these three application no matter what I do keep re-installing after rebooting my phone.

I have uninstalled them successfully . I had this issue either after uninstalling Go Security or 360 security. I cannot remove them, I have tried removing the directories but something is hidden on my phone and I cannot find the source for it which keeps installing them, my mobile boots up saying optimising app 1 of 3.... then after the three it loads up with the 3 that i removed back on the phone.

It is something that advertisers have probably secretly put on the applications which the software developers cannot trace so the applications end up being placed deep into the phone. But I am not sure of the source

If on android and your getting the system_protect.apk downloading go to settings> apps and scroll all the way down, there an app with now name about 29Mb , this is the malware, malware bytes doesn't see a file without a name so it skips over it !

My phone has been doing the same thing, install an app then uninstall a few minutes later. Even says I have accessed the app and used it before uninstall. Happens in the middle of the night when my phone is in the opposite end of the house. Has caused A LOT of problems in my family. Has been happening for months. Why is this happening on my android phone? Google support just says I must be doing it.
