DDNS is the abbreviation of dynamic domain name server. I have an account in this website. I used to use it to connect my home IP camera. DNSExit offers full DNS hosting for your own domains without cost. If you don't have your own domain, you can also use their free DNS service with their listed domains (publicvm.com and linkpc.net), after signup, you can get two free sub-domains.
DNSExit is a professional DNS service provider. The company offers free dynamic DNS service to global users, and you can register your free domain, or even use their provided free second level domain (sub-domain). The Free Second Level Domain (SLD) allows you to create a host name that point to either dynamic or static IP address.

Afraid.org is quite old free DDNS provider, the company starts to offer free dynamic DNS since 2001. Until now, theirwebsite is still open for free DDNS registration. "Why is it free? It's quite simple. We wanted a challenge... that's it."

5. Dyn
Dyn is one the pioneer dynamic DNS service provider, and the company used to be the biggest and famous free Dynamic DDNS service provider. Unfortunately, from Since 2012, Dyn no longer provide new registration for free service, and from May 2013 on, Dyn no longer maintains free services without monthly log-ins at its site. From April 2014 on, Dyn discontinues free DynDNS service to clean up its DDNS network.
DynDNS is by far the most widely used DDNS service at least in part because it's embedded in many routers' firmware to enable automated DDNS updates—and it's often the only embedded option.
