Generally, the newest models of LG TVs have a feature called Quickstart. The setting puts the TV in standby mode when you turn it off, meaning your device will start up more quickly the next time you turn it on.

However, most issues on LG TVs result from the Quickstart setting.

In other words, network interfaces and some applications have problems coming out of the suspended state when you enable Quickstart+.

Therefore, disabling the option is the first troubleshooting step to try when your LG TV won’t update apps.
