You register and activate the OData services provided by SAP to enable SAP Fiori appsto access the SAP Fiori-related features in ABAP SMI.
Context
Based on your business needs, register and activate the following OData services on the SAP Gateway server:

Procedure
- Log on to the SAP Gateway server as administrator.
- In Customizing for SAP NetWeaver, choose GatewayOData ChannelAdministration General SettingsSAP NetWeaver Gateway to SAP SystemActivate and Maintain Services (or run transaction/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE).
- On the Activate and Maintain Services screen, choose AddService.
- On the Add Service screen, enter the following searchparameters:
Field Value System Alias LOCAL Technical Service Name SM_INTEGRATION_V2_SRV - Choose Get Services.
A list of services available in the local system appears.
- Select the SM_INTEGRATION_V2_SRV service.
- In the Add Service dialog box, in the CreationInformation group box, select any local package.
- Choose Back (F3).
Typically, two new repository objects are created.
- Confirm that you want to create the repository objects.
The refreshed Add Service screen is displayed and the newlycreated service is no longer in the selection.
- Choose Back (F3) to return to the overviewscreen and view the updated service catalog.
- Confirm that the service was added.
- Verify that OData ICF nodes are activated for the ODataservice you registered as follows:
- In the service catalog, select the registered OData Service and, on theOData ICF node, select ICFNode.
- Choose Activate and confirm the dialogbox.
- Save your entries.
- If you are using SAP Jam-related tiles, repeat the steps above to register and activate thecatalog service (SM_CATALOG_SRV).
- Test the services. To do so, select a service and choose CallBrowser in the ICF Nodes section.
An XML representation is displayed in the browser.
Results
The services related to SAP Fiori apps are now registered and activated in the SAP Gatewaysystem.
