Google Play on the Android TV™ or Search for apps on the Google TV™ only displays apps that are supported by the TV. To see if apps are or can be installed on the TV, refer to the following:

If you don't have a Google Account or want to create a shared account, create a new account by accessing the Google homepage. We recommend creating a Google Account on a computer or mobile device.
About paid apps: There are free apps and paid apps. Purchasing a paid app requires a prepaid Google Play gift card code or credit card information. You can purchase a Google Play gift card from various retailers.

Google Play Store on Android TV only displays apps that are supported by the TV, so apps that are not displayed are not supported at the moment. Not all apps for other Android™ devices, such as smartphones, can be used with the TV.
Potential Bloatware: Some Android TV devices could have already pre-installed unnecessary applications or even the bloatware which may take some space in the interface as well as on the storage.
The Home menu screens on an Android TV and Google TV are similar. For the Android TV, there's a Clock or (Settings) icon displayed in the upper right corner of the screen, and for the Google TV, you'll see a Google account icon. The display in the upper right of the screen varies depending on your model and settings.
The decision between Android TV and Roku depends on your preferences. If you favor Google services and customization, Android TV is ideal. Alternatively, if you prefer simplicity and a vast channel variety, Roku is a better fit. Your choice should align with your specific needs and ecosystem preferences.
On your remote control, press the Input button. Select +Edit, and then locate and select Google Play store. The Google Play store app is added to the available options, and you can now access it by pressing the Input on your remote and selecting Google Play store.
Not all Smart TVs support the Play Store, so you'll need to check if your TV has an Android operating system. If you're not sure, check your TV's user manual or do a quick online search for your TV's model number to see if it supports the Play Store.
